Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is seeking a skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, a deep understanding of aerospace materials, and experience with advanced manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to transition new products from concept to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Utilize Mastercam/ SolidWorks software and other engineering tools to create detail process plans and documentation.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize workflow and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace manufacturing regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to maintain production schedule.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production capabilities and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field. 10+ years is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM Software (SolidWorks, Mastercam)
  • Knowledge of CNC machining
  • Experience with GD&T and precision machining tolerances
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards
