Job Title: Bioinformatics Analyst III Job Description We have an exciting 6-month contract opportunity for a Bioinformatics Analyst within the Genomics Research Center to support our internal research team. The successful candidate will be part of the Emerging Technology Team and will be responsible for all aspects of bioinformatics analysis for a variety of novel and standard NGS experiments, including quality control, platform validation, differential gene/protein expression, whole genome mapping, and variant calling. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple senior computational biologists to support data processing and analysis. Careful attention to details, timely delivery of results, and the ability to handle multiple projects are essential. This candidate should have demonstrated previous experience analyzing a variety of different Omic data, especially Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), be comfortable using R/Python for data wrangling, and possess excellent communication skills. The role typically involves working hours between 9 AM-5 PM Central Time and offers a fully remote option.
Hard Skills - Proficient in using R for basic data analysis, processing, and plotting
- Comfortable working with NGS data using open-source tools
- Ability to communicate results to scientists with a broad range of expertise
- Familiarity with basics of statistical modeling
- Proficient working in UNIX environment, comfortable with UNIX scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python), and experienced working with job schedulers like SLURM

Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weekly.
