Description: Facilitate learning by identifying and understanding individual characteristics of all students taught and present subject matter accordingly; manage the classroom by organizing it to stimulate learning and to foster discipline; make professional decisions about what to teach and across subject areas based on available curriculum guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS: - Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Hold a valid Ohio Certification
- BA in Business Education Degree, BA in Business/ Finance, or Masters in Business/Finance or equivalent as well as potential to obtain CTE Certification in Ohio that will permit the candidate to teach courses that are requested.
- Demonstrate high quality behavior management skills
- Demonstrate strong instructional technology skills
- Works well in a collaborative educational culture
- Ability to provide staff development for colleagues in the area of business and finance
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES : - Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as One Plan Goals goals.
- Ensure safety of students.
- Utilize summative and formative assessments to drive instruction.
- Effectively manage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain a good learning environment.
- Prepare clear and timely lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required
- Provide guidance and counsel to the students which will promote their welfare and their proper educational development.
- Attend parent/teacher conferences.
- Provide complete lesson plans for substitute.
- Deliver highly effective daily lessons based on student need, rooted in research-based instructional practices.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
- Create a joyful, caring, and loving classroom environment for all students.
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms, inside the classroom and beyond.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
- Incorporate 21st century technology skills into daily classroom practice and team settings as well as required Ohio Curriculum Standards.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively, humbly, and respectfully with all colleagues.
- Assists in the preparation of the CTE Plan.
- Strong communication skills.
- Maintain record of student progress.
- Demonstrates leadership guidelines.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Notify parents and administration if student is not meeting classroom goals.
- Maintain and improve professional competence.
