Position : Capital Markets and Public Company Attorney (Principal)
Location : Seattle, WA; Spokane, WA; Portland, OR; Washington, D.C.; New York, NY

Experience Level : Partner (7+ years)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets and Public Company Attorney with a focus on securities law and capital markets transactions to join a respected law firm’s Business Practice. This partner-level role provides the opportunity to handle sophisticated transactions and work closely with top-tier clients in diverse industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on public offerings, securities regulation, and corporate governance
• Counsel clients on public company reporting obligations, public securities offerings, and SEC compliance
• Engage in debt and equity market transactions and manage complex corporate governance matters
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s six offices to deliver high-quality client service

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law
• 7+ years in securities law, capital markets transactions, and related areas
• Established book of business required
• Strong academic background with excellent analytical and writing skills
• Client-centered approach with exceptional communication skills
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently and as part of a diverse team

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range : $200,000 - $325,000 annually (based on experience and location)
