Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpentry Foreman to lead a team of carpenters on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with proven leadership abilities to manage and supervise a team effectively. As a Carpentry Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and according to high-quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee day-to-day operations of carpentry projects, ensuring tasks are completed according to blueprints, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers.
- Ensure project deadlines and milestones are met while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to plan and assign tasks effectively.
- Inspect and assess project progress, identifying any issues and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
- Manage material procurement, equipment, and labor resources to optimize project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including conducting safety meetings and site inspections.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of project timelines, material usage, and labor hours.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, techniques, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and experience in enforcing them on-site.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in varying environmental conditions for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy materials and equipment as needed.
