About the Role - CDL Driver Class B

As a CDL Driver Class B, you will play a crucial role in our Orica USA Commercial team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving and operating bulk trucks (Mobile Mixing Units)
• Installing blasting products at local construction sites, mines, and quarries
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring safety standards are met

This role is a blend of 40% driving and 60% physical labor , including product loading and installation tasks. You’ll be working outdoors in various weather conditions, so a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility is essential.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Home every night
• Local driving (2-3 hours)
• Early morning starts (approx. 3 AM)
• 10-12 hours per day
• Overtime may be required

What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
• Driving emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
• Ensuring safe handling and storage of raw materials
• Minimizing environmental impact through responsible practices
• Participating in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings

What You Will Bring

• At least one year of experience in driving and/or handling materials
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
• Attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory management
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to load products, pull hoses, and climb on/off trucks
• Lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 50 pounds or more
• Frequent bending and squatting required

Your Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL (Class A is a plus)
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Rate: $24.50
• Signing Bonus: $4,500
