Delivery Driver - Piggyback/Boom Truck

Overview

Beeson Hardware & Lumber Company seeks efficient and customer-centered delivery professionals to serve as our job site representatives. We seek persons willing to provide our customer base with courteous actions supported by excellent attitudes. The Delivery Driver works as part of a team to ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, loaded correctly, and delivered to our customer’s job sites safely and in a timely manner. The Driver will transport materials to job as directed by Dispatcher while adhering to all OSHA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, and deliver materials to job sites in a safe, timely manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to confirm accuracy.
• Conduct weekly safety checks on truck; communicate any problems to Dispatch.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials from truck.
• Provide excellent customer service: answering questions, placing material where customer requests, responding to complaints in an appropriate manner.
• Following assigned routes as directed by Dispatcher.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork as it relates to deliveries, pick-ups, credits, as needed.
• Secure material on truck before leaving yard.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment on job sites.
• Other duties as directed by management.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid State issued CDL driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• 1-year Experience desired
• Willingness to adhere to proper guidelines
• Prompt arrival every day, great work ethic and attitude
• Ability to carry large, heavy materials (doors, windows) as directed
• Team-oriented
• Attention to detail
