About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. The CDO will be responsible for managing the Office of Diversity & Equity, creating and overseeing diversity and compliance programs, and ensuring the College's adherence to all relevant regulations. This includes the preparation of reports, educational workshops, and working with external agencies on compliance matters. The successful candidate will also be involved in the strategic planning process, particularly in the allocation of resources to support diversity and equity initiatives, and will collaborate with various stakeholders to foster a climate that values and respects diversity. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those holding an advanced degree or juris doctorate. The role requires a proven track record in EEO, compliance, affirmative action, and diversity, particularly in the context of higher education and a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build consensus and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in training program development, staff supervision, and a high level of proficiency in computer applications are also essential. The CDO will be expected to have a high degree of personal integrity, be results-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
