Client Specialist: EdTech Wage Information - $18.00-$20.00/hr

About the Role
As a Client Specialist at HigherRing, you’ll be the vital connection between our EdTech client and their users—primarily teachers and administrators. You’ll use your customer success skills to help educational institutions maximize their technology investment while providing exceptional support.

Your Impact
You’ll serve as a dedicated Customer Success Specialist, becoming an expert in our client’s educational technology platform and helping teachers and administrators implement it effectively in their classrooms. Your work will directly influence how effectively educators can use technology to improve student well-being.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Success & Support
  • Build strong relationships with educators through responsive, warm, and empathetic communication
  • Provide both tier 1 and expanding tier 2 technical support to resolve user issues
  • Handle help requests while documenting, prioritizing, and suggesting platform improvements
  • Proactively minimize customer churn through strategic outreach and addressing concerns early
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex customer situations, finding creative solutions

Knowledge & Training Development

  • Evaluate and improve tutorials, help documentation, and professional development resources
  • Refine onboarding processes to help educators quickly implement the platform
  • Document best practices and process improvements
  • As you gain expertise, contribute insights on product design and user experience improvements

Client Partnership

  • Prepare for regular meetings with HigherRing management to discuss:
    • Project status updates
    • Client challenges and opportunities
    • Strategic improvement recommendations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes and client interactions
  • Potentially contribute to marketing content around educational technology best practices

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Professional Experience

  • Experience in K-12 educational environment
  • Experience with customer service platforms (Zendesk) and collaboration tools (Slack)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in educational or technical environments

Skills & Qualities

  • Adaptable mindset with ability to quickly build understanding in new areas
  • Exceptional active listening and positive communication skills
  • Resilience and consistent positive attitude in challenging situations
  • Strong technical aptitude across multiple browsers and digital communication tools
  • Proactive communication style and documentation habits

Technical Requirements

  • Dedicated, distraction-free home workspace with door
  • Hardwired internet connection (Ethernet, not WiFi)
  • Reliable high-speed internet (50+ Mbps download, 5+ Mbps upload)
  • Fluent English required; additional languages beneficial
