Our providers are at the forefront of psychiatry, offering innovative interventions and treating some of the highest acuity patients in the country. Osmind is a San Francisco–based public benefit corporation backed by top investors including DFJ Growth, Future Ventures, General Catalyst, and Y Combinator. Osmind is seeking a part-time Community Moderator to help foster an active, respectful, and valuable environment within our online community of mental health professionals and clinicians, the Psychiatry Collective. This person will play a key role in driving thoughtful discussions, supporting peer connections, and ensuring the community remains a trusted space to share knowledge and resources. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in mental health clinic operations —such as admin, intake, or billing—who understands the realities of clinical practice and is passionate about building connection and elevating the mental health field. While clinical credentials are not required, they are nice to have. Commitment: ~10 hours/week, 3-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and community needs Key Responsibilities Timely Engagement (within 24 hours): Welcome new members and respond to practice management inquiries to maintain a lively, engaged environment. Moderation & Quality Control: Uphold our code of conduct by monitoring activity and flagging any violations to ensure a respectful, professional space. Event Promotion Support: Help drive participation in live community events by linking to events in appropriate posts or threads. Qualifications Community-Oriented: You're energized by connecting people and fostering belonging in online spaces. Experience in Mental Health Settings (Preferred): You’ve worked in or with mental health clinics—especially in administrative, intake, or billing roles—and understand the landscape. Strong Communication: You’re confident managing discussions and can handle sensitive or nuanced topics with care. Organized & Reliable: You keep track of conversations and follow through on engagement consistently. Bonus: Familiarity with interventional treatments like TMS and ketamine is helpful, but not required. Compensation: We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30-$50 per hour inclusive of an equity component opportunity.
