Position Summary:

As a Dedicated Solo Truck Driver for our partner's account, youll play a pivotal role in the transportation of critical railroad parts across designated routes. Starting in Dayton, OH , this 5-day weekly route includes stops in Fort Wayne, IN , Elkhart, IN , Chicago, IL , and other locations as needed. A Hazmat endorsement is required as 20% of the loads consist of broken-down locomotive parts. While weekend and holiday work is part of the job, we prioritize work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Deliveries and Pickups: Handle both deliveries and pickups efficiently and safely.
• Route Management: Ensure timely and secure transport of freight.
• Manual Handling: Lift boxes (up to 50 lbs.) and assist with moving freight to the back of the trailer using a manual pallet jack.

Schedule:

• Miles: 20 stops per week, with weekly mileage ranging from 2,191 to 2,600 miles.
• Pay: Average weekly pay is $1,495.05, with an annual pay of $76,248.00.
• Departure Times: Vary between 0500 - 0900 based on customer needs and route type. This is a 24/7 operation, including weekends.
• Home Time: Includes a 34-hour reset day, varying based on customer shipping days.

Requirements:

• Experience: 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Hazmat Endorsement: Required for handling hazardous materials.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Holiday Work: Drivers are scheduled to work holidays, except Christmas, unless otherwise specified by the customer. Holiday work is compensated with regular pay plus holiday pay.
