DevOps Engineer Location Tampa, FL :

What you will be doing:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure automated testing and quality assurance practices are integrated into the CI/CD processes.
  • Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, availability, and security.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with software development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop incident response procedures and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new projects and initiatives, offering technical expertise and architectural insights.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you already have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or High School diploma and equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or closely related fields within IT, computer science, or operations.
  • Azure Certifications Required.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

  • Expert-level understanding of DevOps standard processes and awareness of emerging trends in source code management.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading projects independently along with strategic planning expertise for team initiatives.
  • Proficiency utilizing one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Proven proficiency with configuration management tools such as Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems like Bitbucket or GitHub.
  • Familiarity with various workflow methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or Agile.
  • Demonstrated experience with tools like Auth0 and Octopus.
  • Experience in Azure Tools like [Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Dynatrace, Datadog, Log Analytics, Azure Storage]
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members in other departments.
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
