Solaris HealthCare is looking for a Director of Rehab to oversee our facility's therapy department. Director of Rehab Qualifications : Must be licensed as an OTR, PT, SLP, OTA, or PTA - Managesthe rehabilitation program for the facility or designated facilities
- Managesrehab staffing levels and patient care levels to meet clinical and operationalneeds
- Ensuresongoing rollout of new policies and procedures to departmental staff
- Participatesin facility performance improvement program
- Participatesin facility marketing activities as indicated
- Displaysappropriate written and verbal communication skills and responds in a timelymanner
- Ensuresongoing communication with patients, clients and team members in order to keepthem informed of key issues and program development opportunities, and tomaintain strong customer relations at all times
- Managesproductivity standard to meet clinical and operational goals
- Evaluatesand provides counseling to team members
- Reviewsthe medical records assuring federal and state requirements and conditions ofparticipation for Medicare, Medicaid and other alternative payment models met
- Implementsappropriate facility procedures to meet facility standards
- Performsother duties as required or directed by Supervisor
- Consistentlyattends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled vacations
- Demonstratesconsistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursementregulations
- Deliversdirect patient care in the appropriate discipline
- Facilitates appropriate utilization and appearance ofrehabilitation space
- Monitors that a preventative maintenance program is in placefor the equipment utilized within the department and reports any problems tothe appropriate personnel
- Communicates effectively with patients, clients and teammembers regarding specific programs, goals, objectives, problems and successes
- Ensures complete orientation to the department and facilityand ongoing training of the rehab staff including departmental specifics andwork injury prevention
- Ensures accuracy and reconciliation of billing data inaccordance with billing deadlines
- Review and monitor revenue and expenses and initiateappropriate action plans to ensure budget goals are met or exceeded
- Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring andorientation of new staff. Models appropriate professional behavior and acts asa mentor to team members
- Reviews documentation practices for clarity, conciseness andconsistency with patient outcome goals
- Ensures, communicates and coordinates departmental functionsin a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectivenessthrough compassion
