F-35 Simulator Technician, Burlington ANGB Job Description: The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
The Simulator Technician also:
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices
- Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
- Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
- Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
- Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations
- Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization
- Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification
Other Duties and Responsibilities: - Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends
- Work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation
- Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team
Qualifications Desired Skills: - Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED
- Technical Report writing
- Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation
- Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
- Military fighter aircraft experience
- Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
- Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience
Suggested Minimum Requirements: Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Security Clearance Requirements: This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.
- Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years
- Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access
- Must be a US citizen
