Framer Carpenter - Marine Construction

An EOE marine/heavy-civil construction company currently seeking a Full Time Framer / Marine Carpenter with 5+ years of experience with Structures and Decks Constructed on Timber Piles. Job Summary

Responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.

Primary responsibilities:

• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Work on elevated surfaces.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Create structures for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding.
• Move and install machinery.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Framer Carpenter in the marine / heavy-civil construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform layout and determine elevations a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Adequate transportation to and from jobsite
