Summary

Great Lakes Ace exists to improve lives and communities. We do that by going above and beyond to serve our neighbors. In-Store sales of grills, window & glass repair, and sharpening are key services we offer to help our neighbors. The Warehouse Worker role is primarily responsible for executing any number of tasks supporting these services. Assembly of customer and store display grills, stripping and repairing screens, and assisting in managing inventory at the Service Center are all essential roles of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned as needed):

Assembling customer and store display grills

Assisting with loading outbound deliveries with the Delivery team

Assisting with unloading inbound deliveries

Maintaining a high level of cleanliness within assigned work areas

Maintaining a clean working environment inside and outside of the facility

Stripping screen repairs

Sharpening

RELATIONSHIPS

Communicate in a positive manner with all members of the Service Center teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

The Warehouse Worker must maintain the proper certifications to safely operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four months of related experience and/or training preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to speak effectively and positively with associates of the organization. Ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions or questions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, & draw valid conclusions. Apply common sense to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving forces outside of your control & to offer a positive solution.

The associate may be required to regularly lift and/move up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
