ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Recruitment Support: Assisting in the recruitment process scheduling interviews for assigned positions, coordinating with candidates, all pre-employment activities for every candidate and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Work with staffing agencies.
- Orientation: Conduct new hire Orientations weekly for all new employees and gather all necessary paperwork.
- Offboarding: Handle administrative tasks related to employee offboarding and exit processes
- HR Communication: Assisting with internal HR communications such as announcements to employees.
- Benefits Administration: Support the communication of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Handle bills related within the HR department including distributing mail
- Leave of Absences: Handle all leave requests and track leave hours.
- Workers Comp: Gathers all necessary workers comp paperwork for accidents and injuries that occur on the job.
- Unemployment: Handle unemployment claims.
- Employee Relations: Assist with employee relations and work directly with HR Supervisor.
- Employee Engagement Activities: Handle all employee events including benefits. This includes ordering of food and supplies for events.
- HR Projects: Supporting HR-related projects and initiatives, collaborating with HR team members to achieve objectives.
- Other job duties: may be assigned and/or a change of initiative may happen to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
Education - Minimum of high school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred in human resources or related field.
Experience - At least 2 years' experience in a human resource position or similar role.
Specific Skills - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient with or the ability to learn quickly.
- Able to adapt to change.
Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems and computer navigation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Physical Requirements are sedentary work which involves sitting and possible exertion of 10 pounds or less on occasion.
- Analyzes data at close distances.
WORK ENVIRONMENT - Duties are performed under physical conditions in which the worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
