Job Details

Our organization is seeking a Liability Claims Specialist. This role is an integral part of our organization and will be responsible for managing and resolving complex liability claims. The specialist will work closely with our legal and risk management teams to ensure that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong background in claims management.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve complex liability claims, including property casualty claims, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Analyze and evaluate claim details to determine the extent of the company's liability.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants or their legal representatives.
  • Participate in mediations and litigations as needed.
  • Work closely with the legal team to prepare for any potential litigation.
  • Coordinate with the risk management team to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files, including all relevant documentation and correspondence.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations related to liability claims.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved in the claims process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Claims Liability Specialist, with a specific focus on property casualty claims.
  • Proven experience in risk management and litigation.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with mediation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to liability claims.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
