Job Description

An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. This list shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.

• Develop and implement the best methods to manufacture components and assemble/test product.
• Investigate and improve processes, materials, tooling, and equipment using cost analysis, time studies, comparisons, spreadsheets, etc.
• Provide cost estimates and process improvements.
• Design and/or procure new tooling, gauging, and fixturing.
• Create and maintain all documentation and files including tool records, inspection records, CNC programs, routings, etc.
• Recommend or guide vendor/contractor or plant personnel in manufacturing techniques, specifications or processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Epicor, Solid Works, and Esprit software.
• Comply with the requirements of the quality system.
• Engage in special manufacturing projects as directed by management.

Qualifications

Education

• A technical degree in CNC programming from a 2-year technical college or university, or equivalent education.

Experience and/or Training

• This position requires work experience of 3 years of CNC programming, fixture, tooling, and gauge design for lathes, horizontal, and vertical machining centers.
• 3 years of CAM experience is required.
