Assembler
Currently looking for a Mechanical Assembler with about 2 years of experience working for a manufacturer where they can grow and develop with the company and learn new skillsets. This is a really exciting opportunity for anyone more green that wants to get their foot in the door who wants to pursue engineering, sales, management, machining, field service etc.
This person will Fit and assemble components according to assembly drawings, manuals, and E-Drawings. Knowledge of machine construction to build, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment, using hand and power tools.
Responsibilities:
· Read, interpret and follow basic drawings, diagrams, Engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
· Rework and/or repair equipment and products according to Engineering specification changes
· Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
· Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly.
· Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts together, using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment, or arranges for assembly by welder and electrician.
· Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
· Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments
· Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
