Position Summary:

Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting product design, order entry, and custom quoting while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams. This role provides technical support for production, contributes to new product development, and ensures accurate CAD drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM s).

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Drafting Support:

• Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for standard and custom products using Creo and AutoCAD.

• Assist in generating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Support the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process to update designs and resolve manufacturing issues.

• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements.

Quoting & Customer Support:

• Assist in creating costed BOMs and initial concept drawings for custom projects.

• Work with customer service to understand application needs and provide technical recommendations.

• Collaborate with supply chain and vendors to verify component costs and availability.

New Product Development (NPD):

• Participate in brainstorming and design ideation for new product development projects.

• Assist in concept testing, validation, and prototype assembly.

• Support performance analysis using engineering calculations and FEA tools.

Manufacturing & Technical Support:

• Respond to shop floor inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.

• Support production and assembly teams in solving design-related challenges.

• Assist in evaluating returned goods for failure analysis and improvement opportunities.

Training & Documentation:

• Maintain organized records of engineering documents, drawings, and BOMs.

• Support training materials and technical product documentation as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or engineering.

• Proficiency in CAD software (Creo and AutoCAD preferred).

• Understanding of GD&T principles and engineering design standards.

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Familiarity with FEA, stress analysis, or hydraulic system design.

• Experience with engineering document management and BOM software.

Work Environment:

• Office and manufacturing floor environment with occasional hands-on work.

• Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required for prototype assembly or testing.
