Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year

Licensed Optometrist in the state of California
Cataract experience preferred

Job Details Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive eye and vision tests to detect vision conditions and eye diseases.
2. Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma.
3. Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
4. Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
5. Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
6. Educate patients about proper eye care techniques.
7. Liaise with other healthcare professionals and make referrals when necessary.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest eye care techniques, research, and equipment to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
9. Maintain patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
10. Work with the finance team to understand and apply insurance and billing procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
2. Licensed to practice optometry in the state.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an optometrist.
4. Proven experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments in a clear and understandable way.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
7. High level of professionalism and adherence to all ethical standards and regulations.
8. Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare software.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of optometry.
