Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and improve packaging specifications, materials, and processes from concept to commercialization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create packaging solutions that meet cost, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct material testing, packaging analysis, and ensure compatibility with production equipment.
Stay current on packaging technologies, sustainability trends, and industry regulations.
Identify and evaluate new packaging materials and potential co-packers for new product development.
Work with vendors and suppliers to implement innovative packaging solutions.
Support product quality improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
Troubleshoot packaging defects and implement preventive measures.
Maintain quality management systems (QMS) for assigned products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
6-10 years of packaging development experience in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and testing methods.
Understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Experience working with packaging suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
