community. Overview: Are you skilled in trades like drywall, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry and ready to make an impact? Connect Housing Blocks is seeking a Production Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll specialize in one of these core areas and work hands-on to complete tasks, train production staff, and ensure quality in your area of expertise. This is a unique opportunity to help shape our modular housing production while supporting the growth and development of others on the team.
What You'll Do: - Hands-On Production Work: Complete specialized tasks within your trade-whether it's drywall finishing, plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry-to meet quality and safety standards.
- Training & Development: Train and instruct Production Associates on techniques specific to your area, ensuring they can contribute effectively to the production line .
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of work in your specialty throughout the production process, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other production specialists and team members to ensure seamless integration of all construction components.
Qualifications: - Experience: 1-2 years of experience in your area of expertise (drywall, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry) is essential. Previous experience training others is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
Competencies: - Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrives on time and completes the assigned shift.
- Quality Focus: Maintains high standards for work, identifying and correcting defects to ensure top quality.
- Safety-Conscious: Adheres to all safety guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
Physical Demands: The role requires frequent movement on the production floor, working with tools, and occasionally lifting materials up to 50 pounds. You'll need to ascend/descend ladders and scaffolding as part of daily tasks.
Work Environment: You will be exposed to various conditions, including wet, humid, hot, and cold environments on the production floor. The noise level can be moderate to high. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for specific tasks.
