Sales Development Representative

*This is a Hybrid position working in our Alpharetta, GA offices

When an entire city needs to be rendered into a 3D model in-flight, utilities buried deep under soil need to be uncovered, highly complex infrastructure projects need to be implemented and even when crime scene investigation needs to be documented – that’s Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon. More than 5’000 employees in 33 countries help us develop the latest technologies for Reality Capture, survey and measurement.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for responding, engaging and qualifying inbound leads and inquiries. The SDR will set up meetings with qualified leads and the appropriate inside or outside sales rep after vetting them. This role will work heavily in SalesForce, both on lead management and capturing and analyzing data on unqualified leads to help recommend lead generation modifications as needed. This role will work across all products and segments in the organization.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities by providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
  • Ask engaging questions to learn about the businesses of potential leads to help recommend the appropriate hardware and/or software solution.
  • Speak knowledgably and engagingly about our hardware and software solutions, answering questions and providing relevant information related to inquiries.
  • Schedule qualified leads with appropriate inside or outside sales representative for virtual or in-person demos and appointments.
  • Document all activity (emails, phone calls) and notes in salesforce.com.
  • Partner and work with inside and outside sales representatives in all segments, creating relationships and building trust.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach.
  • Provide marketing managers with feedback and insights to improve effectiveness of lead generation programs.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • A passion for superior product delivery and customer service as well as an appreciation for the need for a positive end-user experience.
  • Experience in Geospatial hardware and software is preferred but not required.
  • 1 year of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or related customer-facing field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Experience working with SalesLoft and/or SalesForce is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills especially to groups and forums of customers.
  • Perseverance and creative problem solving.
  • An aptitude for developing plans and strategies to succeed
  • High level of personal drive and self-motivation
  • Superior problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to influence without authority, and to help problem solve with the larger goals of the organization in mind.
