Title: SAP Archiving Consultant (OpenText) 2 Openings

Location: Waukegan, IL

Duration: 12 Months

Start Time (AM/PM) : 8 am CST

End Time (AM/PM) : 5 pm CST

Description:

Exempt/Non Exempt: Non Exempt

Years Experience: 5+ years IT experience using a standard IT methodology, with a minimum of 5 years in a project leadership role, performing project planning and implementation

Skills:

  • This role is primarily an Archiving Architect.
  • Architect-level experience in SAP Archiving and ILM.
  • Someone who has used OpenText as the archiving solution.
  • Some project management experience in coordinating with the teams, assigning projects, etc.
  • Minimum of 10-13 years of experience
  • Handle several initiatives (migrations, installations, supporting the existing ECC environment, archiving existing functionalities, working on implementing new functionalities, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing projects and leading cross-functional teams;proven experience managing; and being accountable for several medium and small projects at a given time; self-motivated with excellent planning, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience with MS Project, Excel, Word and Visio
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment, ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment; ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization; multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner; strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Healthcare industry preferred, but not required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (Required) in Business, Computer Science or related field; experience with healthcare applications is a plus

Duties:

  • The Project Manager has overall accountability and responsibility to plan and manage the resources and processes used to develop and implement strategic and tactical application and infrastructure projects.
  • The Project Manager is involved in the management of all task activities and staff assigned to the project.
  • The position requires solid initiation, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to create an effective team environment.
  • Plan and manage execution of IT projects: initial project investigations; requirements definition; scope definition and management; schedule and tasks; issues management; quality and budget; risk analysis and management; contingency planning; change management; overall project control and coordination; monitor and report of project status; manage project teams, manage relationships, execute and improve IT processes; complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • The IT Technical Specialist provides in-depth technical expertise & direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions.
  • Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in of SAP ILM, SAP Archiving with OpenText and project management experience managing SAP Archiving projects.
  • Ability to coordinate with external partners and suppliers.
  • Ability to lead requirements gathering workshops for project scoping and estimate.
  • Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects global projects.
  • Adapts precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for technical configuration/code review/solution testing, user training, hypercare support.
  • Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new solutions.
  • Improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
  • Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact.
  • Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
  • Evaluate & recommend new software, utilities, and tools.
  • In specialized systems (i.e. SAP) effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).
  • Responsible for all project documentation delivery (Change request, testing, system validation)
  • Required: Degree in IT and/or complimentary business degree.
  • Work Experience At least 10-13 years of experience in SAP ILM and SAP archiving with OpenText, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Prior management experience.
  • Problem determination (experience in root cause analysis) and problem resolution skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leaders.
    Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and culture.
  • Process skills: an understanding of process costs, ability to work with the Service Provider to ensure effective operations and agreed-upon
    service levels.
  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships.
  • Ability to be firm but fair about operational deliverables
