As a Scrum Master, your essential job functions will include the following: - Lead one to three development teams using Scrum methodologies, contributing to professional development and performance management of developers.
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the development team and organization; motivate the team to higher levels of maturity with a goal of self-organization, at a pace that is sustainable for the team and organization.
- Establish effective Scrum practices within development teams, with a goal of delivering working software at a consistent cadence. Initiate change to process and handle team impediments where needed to improve delivery.
- Oversee viability of sprint goals and facilitate accountability for sprint commitments. Manage team focus on sprint goals in competition with external requests and priorities.
- Coach Product Owners on effective Scrum practices, including refinement and maintenance of the product backlog.
- Achieve transparency on team process and output, measuring both in relation to team outcomes.
- Develop a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of awareness and problem solving.
Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field required.
- 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master or other leadership position in a software environment.
- Experience leading shared service technology teams with backend, technical solutions (non-interface).
- Results-oriented individual with a passion for working with teams to deliver value frequently.
- Knowledge and experience with leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile, Crystal, BDD, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

Physical Job Requirements - Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Travel as necessary (< 10%).

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing. Base Pay Range: $105k-$120k
