Senior Consultant – Experience in OSIsoft PI

Job Location: Muskegon, MI

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Lead OSIsoft/AVEVA PI engineer to support the OSI PI commissioning, site training, and helping to champion PI at site.

· Performs front-end studies and Deep Dives with global clients, consulting with the clients directly on PI System deployment and integration strategies.

· Can develop and design PI Systems and GxP Documentation without supervision.

· Drafts Validation document lifecycle, including installation/operational qualification and design specification creation and execution across multiple successful projects, of varying scope.

· Provides resourcing estimates and technical configurations, of client quotations, to the Business Development Team.

· Coordinates work with vendors and contractors, during project conception and implementation stages.

· Carries out all the functions of System Analysts and Software Consultants and provides the necessary Engineering support to teams on customer sites or at Head Office, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.

· Works with clients to understand, agree and implement technical requirements, in conjunction with our Team.

· Provides client operational support to the SLA Team and takes responsibility for ensuring System Analysts and Software Consultants have the required support and understanding of their role.

· Can manage smaller projects from conception to completion.

· Manages Project timelines in conjunction with the PM, ensuring the PM is informed of any potential changes to the project.

· Anticipates issues involving quality and timeliness of project deliverables.

· Makes decisions regarding implementation, configuration and installation of PI systems on client sites.

· Can perform all the work of a System Analyst and Software Consultant.

· May receive tasks, duties, technical guidance or learning objectives from the Regional Manager.

· May be assigned work by the Project Manager.

· May be tasked with providing input for quotations or proposals, to prospective or existing clients, in conjunction with Business Development.

· Work is reviewed and evaluated by Regional Manager, with input from the Project Manager and Account Manager.

· Comply with ISO 27001 Information Security Management System requirements i.e. perform you work while protecting the confidentiality, availability and integrity of assets from threats and vulnerabilities.

· Comply with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.

· Understand and apply our quality policy statement in all aspects of your work.

· Contribute towards achieving company objectives.

· Ensure that the needs and requirements of internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.

· Help develop and improve internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.

· Other Ad Hoc duties as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

· Expert understanding of OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, to support the OSI PI commissioning, site training, and helping client to champion PI at site.

· Collaborates with the Business Development team to understand potential projects and scope.

· Understanding of industry trends, product capabilities and customer requirements.

· Setting and tracking of KPIs for the team and address challenges when they arise.

· Excellent knowledge of SCADA, PLC, OPC, Continuous/Batch Historians, MES systems and DCS Based control systems, including network topology concepts.

· Expert understanding of PI Architecture.

· 48 months minimum supporting PI Projects and Systems.

· Superior understanding of operational principals of RtReports and has created templates for customer. Where understanding does not exist, has sufficient technical knowledge to become proficient in RtReports in twelve-month period.

· Highly competent in implementing, configuring and troubleshooting of OSI PI Interfaces including but not limited to OPC DA, PItoPI, RDBMS, UFL, EMDVB and SISBatch and has successfully implemented within several client projects.

· Advanced understanding of how SQL Databases are setup & administered with respect to PI systems, in addition to Oracle installation, query and view structuring.

· Ability to write instructions for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of interfaces, in line with our standard and OSI recommendations.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
