Pay: Duration: 12 month contract with possible extension

Location: Hybrid in Arden Hills, MN

Pay: $40-$52/hour (depending on years of experience)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Contract Manager to join our internal sales team within the solutions space. This role is pivotal in managing contracts and facilitating conversations between customers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business contracting, with a keen understanding of business language and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Management : Oversee and manage contracts, ensuring they align with business language and compliance requirements.
• Customer Interaction : Facilitate conversations with customers to understand their terms, requests, and conditions, and address any hard no’s.
• Legal Coordination : Work closely with our legal team, including paralegals and lawyers, to ensure all contracts meet legal standards while balancing business decisions.
• Risk Assessment : Evaluate and manage the level of risk associated with contracts and business decisions.
• Technical Service Sales : Sell technical services and solutions-based products, understanding the specific language and terms associated with these offerings.
• Drafting SOWs : Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) with detailed terms and conditions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing contracts with a strong understanding of business language and compliance.
• Excellent business knowledge and insights into how legal language flows from a business perspective.
• Ability to facilitate conversations with customers and legal teams effectively.
• Background in defense or private sector business contracting is highly desirable.
• Experience in drafting SOWs with terms and conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Background:

• Defense industry experience.
• Private sector business contracting experience.
• Familiarity with technical service sales and solutions-based products.
