Description Job Summary Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) is a U.S. Army Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) organization that has a mission to design, modernize, field and support the U.S. Army's continually evolving tactical network transport and networking capabilities.
BMA is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor, Senior to support PM TN's mission to develop, deliver and support one tactical network that is resilient, modular, and flexible in design; supportable, trusted by our users and presents a common user experience.
The Technical Writer/Editor, Senior advises, manages, and mentors personnel assigned to technical documentation function. Interfaces with engineers and technical professionals in writing, editing and publishing various types of documents (e.g., test plans, test reports, survey reports). Oversees in-house production flow of technical publications. Tracks and monitors flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identifies and corrects problem areas as they arise. Provides final quality assurance check for all document deliverables. Participates in department and company-wide proposal writing projects. Serves as proposal coordinator for large production efforts. Uses appropriate software for document production. Investigates and implements best ways to produce electronic documentation. Directs classification, indexing, cataloging, and storage of books, periodicals, papers, microfilms, classified reports and documents stored on various media, including electronic Engineer. Provides senior-level technical writing/editing support to other Company contracts when workloads permit.
Clearance Requirements There is a DoD Secret Clearance requirement for this role.
Required Skills & Certifications Bachelor's from an accredited academic institution or military school in English or Journalism.
8+ years' producing technical documentation on programs supporting projects of similar scope and complexity.
Demonstrated experience producing test plans, test reports, etc.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with authors to create or revise technical and or proposal documentation.
Demonstrated experience using .
Desired Skills & Certifications Master's degree from an accredited academic institution in English or Journalism.
Familiarity with DoD and US Army writing style guides.
