Opportunity Summary:

Join our PetMeds/PetCareRX (“PETS”) team as the Social Media and Events Marketing Intern , and help be a driving force in our digital retail success. Are you passionate about social media, content creation, and making a difference for animals? We’re looking for a Social Media and Events Marketing Intern to help grow our brand’s presence while supporting pet welfare initiatives. This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented individual eager to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and event coordination.

As an intern, you’ll assist with content creation, video editing, and social media engagement, helping to build a strong community of pet lovers. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist with coordination and attend local events, coordinate shelter donations, and send PR packages, contributing to meaningful campaigns that support pets in need.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of social media trends, proficiency in design tools like Canva or Adobe, and a passion for working with animals. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and love storytelling through digital content, this internship is a great opportunity to grow your skills while making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and editing content
• Graphic Design
• Responding to DMs and comments on social media
• Engaging on social media platforms
• Sending out PR Packages
• Tracking and reporting on social media post success and engagement
• Attending local events
• Assist with coordinating donations to shelters

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• 2 Years of University Experience or Associates Degree in marketing, graphic design or related field of study.
• 0-1 years of experience (entry level ok)
• Social media and content design and creation experience
• Passionate about working with animals

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in content creation
• Understands social media platforms
  1. Follows and understands social media trends
  2. Comprehends how to emulate brand voice and tone in comments and DM replies.
• Video editing
• Skilled in Canva or other creative design platforms like Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
