Position: Summer Camp Counselor Rate: Up to $25 per hour Terms of Program: 8-week Summer Camp program, runs June through August 2025 Reports to: Chief Financial Officer and Head of School Focused Staffing Group is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor for our partner school in Wilmington, Delaware. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age, have worked in a camp or daycare setting for a minimum of two summers, and have at least 60 credit hours of college courses at an accredited college or university First Aid & CPR certification must be obtained before the first-day camp commences Experience in problem-solving skills Experience in a leadership role Proven to be self-motivated, tenacious, and creative Detail oriented Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work Customer Service Oriented Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check Tuberculin Test Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck Experience working in an urban school environment required Interested applicants are asked to apply online, upload a resume, and include three professional references; preferably past and present supervisors Associate (Required) childcare leadership: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Wilmington, DE 19805 (Required) Wilmington, DE 19805: Relocate before starting work (Required) Benefits Flexible schedule Responsibilities Planning, coordinating, and overseeing the entire summer camp program as approved by the CFO and the Head of School Communicating with parents, guardians, and other camp staff during and after camp hours of operation Care, safety, protection, and supervision of all camp environments, staff, and participants which includes the planning, preparation, and organization of daily activities and site (set-up/clean-up) as well as all administrative duties of camp Effectively supervise, train, and coach all staff Plan and execute age-appropriate day camp programs and activities Coordinate and oversee all aspects of day-to-day administration Effectively partner with the HR manager in hiring and training staff Knowledgeable of all camp safety, school, and state regulations Trains and communicates this information to all staff to ensure compliance Effectively marketing and enrolling camp programs; including online registrations and payments Effectively communicating all camp-related information with staff, community, and participant families promptly Responsible for keeping the School apprised of local, state, and federal Summer Camp-related legislation, policies and practices, compliance, and other related matters that could impact camp operations Focused Staffing
