The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain operations at Walker Products. This role involves managing a team of MRP planners, data analysts, and the logistics team, and leveraging the Epicor ERP system to ensure efficient and effective supply chain processes. The Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of products, maintaining inventory levels, and minimizing costs while meeting the company's quality standards.

Supply Chain Strategy and Management:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and lead a team of MRP planners, data analysts, and logistics personnel.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

ERP System Management:

  • Utilize the Epicor ERP system to monitor and manage supply chain activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting in the ERP system.
  • Train team members on the effective use of Epicor and continuously seek ways to optimize system utilization.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP):

  • Oversee MRP processes to ensure accurate forecasting and planning of materials.
  • Work closely with MRP planners to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet production schedules.
  • Analyze MRP data to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Lead the data analysis team in gathering and analyzing supply chain data.
  • Develop and present reports on key supply chain metrics to senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure efficient transportation and distribution of products.
  • Work with logistics partners to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transportation costs.
  • Address any logistics-related issues and implement solutions promptly.

Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) Process:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and operations, to develop and implement the SIOP process.
  • Facilitate SIOP meetings to align demand planning with supply capabilities and ensure balanced inventory levels.
  • Monitor and adjust SIOP plans based on market trends, sales forecasts, and production schedules.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (such as APICS CPIM or CSCP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Strong experience with Epicor ERP system.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, logistics, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
