Phlebotomist 2 years' experience required Unit Notes** INTERVIEW - AUTO OFFER***Unit PhlebotomyCerts BLS"What areas do they cover? Inpatient, outpatient, ER, PEDS, NICU, clinics? " Inpatient, Outpatient, ERJob Duties "Collect blood samples on all ages via venipuncture, finger stick, and heel stickSort, verify specimen labeling, order entry, and distribute specimens. May collect blood samples from patients, verify records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Ensures specimens are properly identified, collected, labeled, and stored. May order laboratory tests in an efficient, accurate manner. May explain collection procedures and provide patient instructions to ensure the accurate collection or preparation of specimens, to facilitate patient/caregiver understanding and to reduce patient anxiety. Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Performs other duties as assigned."Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties "Must have experience drawing all ages (newborn to geriatric)Highly prefer inpatient experience, outpatient experience preferredOk with first time travelers"LIS System (ie. Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, BioTracer, etc.) EpicEMR/Specific Equipment used in each area? Epic, Voalte, and RoverShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "24/7 coverage, 12 hours shifts starting at 5a, 530a, 7a, and 10a for days. Nights start at 630p. Schedule of 8 week blocks"Weekend Requirements "Rotating if there is a needDay start times 5a, 530a, 7a, 8a, and 10a on days. Weekends may also have a 6.5 hour shift from 530a-12p and a 4 hour shift 8a-12p"Holiday Requirements Rotating holidaysCall or Standby Call Requirement NAScrub Color/Dress Code "Scrubs- no color requirementsLab coat is not required"Department Specific Orientation 1-2 days in the department in addition to hospital orientation
