The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations supervises a team of Associates and ensures that pick, pack, and ship operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality. With responsibility for a day or night shift, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health’s customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the Warehouse Operations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence. Responsibilities include supervising daily work assignments and performance of group leads and associates; tracking efficiency and productivity metrics; ensuring warehouse systems readiness; scheduling and prioritizing work; tracking employee attendance; monitoring productivity and quality metrics; reporting team performance; determining root causes of productivity or safety issues and resolving them; identifying operational improvement opportunities; conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback; creating performance improvement plans and administering discipline; participating in hiring and training new associates. Qualifications include 3-5 years supervisor/management experience preferred, bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise software, Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, and familiarity with material handling equipment preferred. The role requires coordinating daily activities, administering policies, ensuring guideline compliance, and interacting with various management levels.
