Job Description:

This is a part-time position in the Fitness department teaching fitness classes. The position consists of teaching high quality classes, assisting with class check in and limited student registration support, maintaining the cleanliness of the yoga and/or fitness spaces, and helping to foster an inclusive community for Spot members and guests.

Current Openings:

We’re seeking a yoga instructor to teach a routine morning class at our Louisville location. This class will be 6:30-7:30am on Tuesdays. Additionally, we have shifts available for our Thursday 6-30-7:30am through the month of July.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of prior experience teaching yoga and/or fitness.
• 200hr yoga certification from an accredited establishment or equivalent fitness certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
• Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Position Goals & Objectives:

• Provide professional yoga and/or fitness instruction to complement and enhance the fitness goals of Spot members.

Major Responsibilities:

• Teach high quality classes that are accessible to a wide range of physical fitness abilities and are in line with class descriptions.
• Provide excellent customer service to students before, during and after class.
  • Announce yoga, fitness, and climbing workshops and events to students to promote participation.
• Commitment to assigned class time and owning the search for class coverage in the event of schedule conflicts.
• Ensure accurate class counts by collaborating with the front desk and communicating to the Fitness
• Coordinator about inconsistencies.
  • Support students with class registration and troubleshooting if necessary.
• Help to maintain a neat and sanitary yoga and fitness space.
  • Communicate with students about using sanitizing wipes to clean their equipment.
• Create an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for students to feel supported in their fitness journey.
  • Arrive with enough time to set up your teaching space and music if applicable, greet students and start class on time.
  • Teach a professional group fitness class with intelligent programming, which is both accessible to new students and challenging to experienced students.
  • Create client connections by learning and using student names, welcoming them to class and thanking them after class.
  • Remain at the gym long enough after class to answer any student questions and clean up your teaching space.
• Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and classroom management.
• Attend meetings as required.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 per 60min class
