Job Description

Join our ambitious team as a Product Manager, where you'll shape the future of our free-to-play (F2P) casual mobile games. We're seeking a strategic and analytical leader who can drive product innovation, enhance player engagement, and effectively develop monetization strategies. Ideal candidates will have deep experience with game design, economy balancing, and monetization strategies, complemented by an intuitive understanding of game UI/UX.

If you're passionate about creating unforgettable gaming experiences, thrive in a collaborative environment, and are driven to elevate games enjoyed by millions worldwide, we want to hear from you!

ABOUT TAPBLAZE

Here at TAPBLAZE, our mission is to make great games for players that will be remembered for decades. As a small team, we have created games such as "Good Pizza, Great Pizza" that have been downloaded more than 300 million times across the globe, giving a fun, innovative experience to millions of players every day. Our core values are the reason we have found success as an independent studio and guide our hiring process: we are ambitious, disciplined, ownership-minded, results oriented, and extraordinary. We operate internationally and we are growing day by day; the company is entirely self-funded, we only answer to our players.

We are seeking individuals that have the same core values and are looking to level up themselves, the games they work on and the company they work for. Only with great attention to details can this be achieved - please mention "beauty is in the details" in your cover letter.

OBJECTIVES
  • Define, develop, and manage product strategies to optimize player engagement, retention, and monetization.
  • Develop comprehensive roadmaps aligned with market trends, player insights, and business objectives.
  • Drive the creation and refinement of compelling game mechanics and balanced in-game economies.
  • Execute monetization strategies that maximize revenue streams, including in-app purchases, advertising, and other monetization channels.
  • Improve overall game performance through data analysis, A/B testing, and continuous iteration.

COMPETENCIES
  • Strong expertise in F2P mobile games, particularly casual gaming genres.
  • Deep understanding of game design, economy balancing, and monetization practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills for managing product lifecycles from conception through execution.
  • Intuitive understanding of UI/UX for game design (strongly preferred).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Required:
    • Minimum of 5 years in product management within the F2P mobile gaming industry.
    • Demonstrable success in game design, economy design, and monetization strategy.
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Game Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Previous direct experience in game economy design and monetization management.
    • Background in designing or managing casual games.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work;
  • Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

As an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a multigenerational and multicultural workforce TAPBLAZE recognizes that a diverse staff, reflective of our community, is an integral and welcome part of a successful and ethical business. We hire local talent at all levels regardless of race, color, religion, age, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability, and actively foster inclusion in all forms both within our company and across interactions with vendors and partners.

For best consideration, include a cover letter in your application explaining why you would be a great fit.
